Abstract

formation of religious character from an early age. The program was carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving both university students and children as subjects of the activity. The implementation took place routinely every evening after the Magrib prayer through lectures, reading practice, memorization, and direct guidance. The results show significant improvement. Out of ten participating children, before the program only about 30% were able to read the Qur’an correctly using basic tajwid. After the program was implemented, this number increased to 75%. This indicates that children can develop well when given structured and continuous guidance. In addition, discipline also showed progress. Attendance, which was initially around 50%, increased to 80% after the program, as children felt more encouraged and enthusiastic when reciting the Qur’an with the university students. This program not only improved Qur’anic reading skills but also fostered togetherness, strengthened discipline in worship, and enhanced social and religious bonds within the community of Sukadami Village.
